THE COURSE
Will be a variation on the classic layout of rolling, hillside parkland within the grounds of Southampton Sports Centre. Featuring treats like wooded single track, banks, climbs, off cambers and fast descents.
There will be an area for gazebos by the sign on area.
PRACTICE / WARM UP
The increased number of races means that practice time between races is limited. In order to make best use of the time, we will start opening the course for practice as soon as the leader of the previous race has finished. A marshal wearing a hi-vis vest will cycle the course following the last rider of the previous race. You may start using the course as soon as this marshal has passed, but you must stay behind the marshal.
You may also use the adult parts of the course for practice during the U10/U12 races.
SIGN-ON TIMES
Sign-on will open at 8:00am for U10s and U12s only. Registration for all other riders will open at 9:30am. Sign-on for each race will close 20 minutes beforehand. Please make sure you sign on and receive your timing chip from the timing crew in good time.
RIDER NOTES
- For all riders who are unregistered, please return your numbers back to sign on!
- No bikes in the sign-on queue please.
- Times are estimates and sometimes there are circumstances that means we cannot keep to them exactly.
- We have a back marker marshal on bike with a high-vis. Please ensure that you cycle behind the marshal at the end of the previous race if riding the course in practice.
TOP 5 PODIUMS AND PRIZE PRESENTATIONS
There will be U8, U10 and U12 podiums for BOYS and GIRLS separately and it will be STRAIGHT AFTER the respective races please. So U8 and U10 will be together ASAP after that race. We will be as quick as possible so you can get to watch the start of the U12. And then the U12 will be after that race. Please head straight to the podium area after your race.
