In spite of the cold, the cloud, and the remnants of the wind from Hannah, 17 riders turned up for the last of the early-season reliability rides of 2019, including three of our Fareham friends. As usual, there was a preponderance of gold medallists, though both the slower categories were also represented. Riders from Sotonia except where noted

Congratulations to all! And a plea for the autumn: These events would benefit greatly from a larger cohort of riders of more leisurely speeds. Reliability Rides are NOT races, merely a test of a rider’s endurance, the roadworthiness of her bike, and (for some) an ability to navigate a route. As the saying goes, “All that glitters is not gold.”
