Calshot Activities Centre
Calshot has the only indoor banked velodrome in the South of England. This national standard track was built in 1997 and can be used by a wide range of cyclists.

"We enjoy offroad biking, especially searching out singletrack. We arent exactly fast but can be quick when we want to be. The point is that living just north of Portsmouth gives us the South Downs to play on with quite a few bridleways. Unfortunately being a fairly highly populated area with lots of private land compared with some areas it takes some going to build a fully legal and interesting route around here - not impossible but limiting none the less.

Then theres the Queen Elizabeth Country Park which has the South Downs Way passing right through it and as such is the only park for many miles to provide a dedicated mtb singletrack trail for the more serious rider here in the Central South"
