RELIABILITY RIDE, SUNDAY 29 April

Date: Sunday 29 Apr 2018
Time: 12:00am
Location:

The April reliability ride will start from Romsey Bus Station on Sunday, April 29. Riders will set off at 9 am, so please arrive 15 minutes before to sign on.

Because of road works on Long Drove in East Grinstead, there is a short diversion early in the route, which adds about 2 kilometres to the total distance: 165 km, or approximately 103 miles.

A link to the gpx revised route — with the diversion around Long Drove — is given here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27311096

A pdf of the route-sheet is given here: Longleat 2018 routesheet; this does NOT indicate the diversion at Long Drove.

The ride ends at its starting point, at Romsey Bus Station. In case of inclement weather, look for me in Caffè Nero in The Hundred, near the Market Place roundabout.

As always, your ride will be recorded only in the 12 to 18 mph bracket, which means that I shall be at the finish to record yourselves between 2:45 and 5:30 pm.

The route is of the same length as the “Pewsey 100”, but rather hilly in the middle section, between Warminster and the top of Zig-Zag Hill. Several club members have already trialled it and found it highly enjoyable. I hope, then, that many of you will be able to attend. The current forecast is for chilly but dry weather — this can change, so please consult the Met Office website or similar.
