Sotonia Cycling Club has its base in Southampton, Hampshire and draws its members from around the local area. We are an ‘all round’ club taking part and organising events across most aspects of cycling, all year round.

We have over 300 members making Sotonia one of the biggest clubs in the south of England. Our members take part in all aspects of the sport: social riding, youth coaching, road racing, time trialling, cyclocross, gravel rides, track cycling, sportives and mountain biking.

Club runs

On the non competitive side, we hold Sunday runs throughout the year and a series of reliability trials (non racing events over set distances) in the winter months. Our runs leave from outside the Fleming Avenue Shopping Parade in North Baddesley (View Map) at 9.00am April – October and 9.30am the rest of the year. On our Sunday runs we often have as many as four groups setting off to cover different distances at various speeds to cater for all comers Before attending our club runs for the first time we require you to read the Riding With Us page.

Although membership is open to all, riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. For more information about Sotonia and details of membership, go to the membership page. If you are new to cycling, our members will be glad to advise you on bikes, equipment, training and all cycling matters.
